Out-of-State Students

State and federal laws require colleges and universities to be authorized to offer online degree programs in states other than their own. The North Dakota State College of Science is a member of the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA) initiative. Currently, colleges must request authorization from each state to offer distance education courses to the residents of that state. Members of SARA must meet specific criteria, including accreditation and adhering to a set of best practice guidelines for Distance Education. This approval automatically authorizes the members of SARA  to offer distance education classes in the member states. For more information about the SARA initiative, visit their website at http://nc-sara.org or visit the ND SARA website at http://nc-sara.org/states/nd.
