Nurses are in high demand and have excellent job opportunities. NDSCS offers a full range of nursing programs: 

Registered Nursing (A.S.N. degree) 

The final two ASN programs will be offered Fall 2017 and Fall 2018, pending enrollment.

This program is available to licensed practical nurses who wish to continue their nursing education and become a Registered Nurse. Graduates have an excellent opportunity for immediate employment and/or transfer to a baccalaureate or masters program for nursing. Currently, we are in the planning stages of offering a 2-year stand alone RN program starting Fall 2017.

The NDSCS Registered Nursing Program has been granted full approval from the North Dakota Board of Nursing (NDBON), 919 South 7th Street, Suite 504, Bismarck, ND 58504, 701-328-9777 and has been granted candidacy for accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), 3343 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 850, Atlanta, GA 30326, 404-975-5000.

Practical Nursing (Diploma) 

This program is available to high school graduates or transfer students who are interested in pursuing a career in nursing. The curriculum is three semesters and awards a Diploma in Practical Nursing. The graduate has an excellent opportunity for immediate entry into the health profession and/or transfer to an associate or bachelor’s program for nursing.

The NDSCS Practical Nursing Program is Accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) 3343 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 850, Atlanta, GA 30326, 404-975-5000 and has full approval from the North Dakota Board of Nursing (NDBON), 919 South 7th Street, Suite 504, Bismarck, ND 58504, 701-328-9777.

The curriculum is five semesters and awards an Associate in Applied Science degree in Practical Nursing. Graduates have excellent opportunity for immediate entry into the health profession and/or transfer to an associate or bachelor’s program for nursing.
