How to become a resident assistant?
Resident Assistant (RA’s) at NDSCS are student staff members who make a commitment to themselves, the students, the Department of Residential Life and the College. The primary role of the RA is to create and promote a safe living and learning community among the residents on their floor and throughout the building. The responsibilities of an RA cover numerous areas including: community development, educational programming, safety and security, policy enforcement, administrative tasks, and most importantly customer service.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Minimum cumulative and semester grade point average (GPA) 2.25

Outside employment must be approved by the Department of Residence Life and must not exceed 10 hours a week including weekends

Notify Senior Staff of any extracurricular activities you are involved in

Uphold a level of personal conduct appropriate to the responsibilities of the job

Abide by all college and hall policies, as well as state and federal laws
