What is a first year experience course?
First year experience is a one-credit course designed to help first year college students HONE IN and HUNKER DOWN. While learning is ultimately your responsibility, this is a practical course meant to help provide the tools and skills necessary to get a strong start in your transition to the NDSCS campus and to college life.

|
Why do we offer First Year Experience course?
NDSCS is committed to student success. Helping students succeed in academic areas is foremost, but this needs to be combined with student involvement on campus and in campus activities as well as career preparation. Freshman orientation will be your first taste of getting to know the campus and your fellow classmates. The First Year Experience course is fun, practical and you will get to know more of your classmates who are experiencing the same kinds of things that you are as you get to know your way around.
