Online learning, or e-learning, comprises all forms of electronically supported learning and teaching and takes it out of the classroom and into your home, business or wherever you may be. Taking online classes provides no in-classroom educational experiences, but as technology advances online learning capabilities will also increase - making the online experience closer to a more traditional learning experience.

Online classes at NDSCS are available 24/7 to online users to meet the assignment deadlines set by instructors. Students should check email and log into classes regularly to keep up with class work and new announcements. Learn more about accessing online classes.

Distance Education strictly adheres to the NDSCS Attendance Policy and online students are urged to log-in into classes and submit class work frequently to avoid being dropped from classes as inactive students. Students who do not submit class work over a ten-day period may be dropped from a class with instructor approval.

Online students and classes follow the same Academic Calendar as those on campus. All students need to be familiar with the academic calendar for final days to add/drop classes, final days to withdraw from school, registration dates, course start/end dates, Wildcat Payment and Refund Days, etc.
