EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Pharmacy Technicians are employed in a variety of settings including Drug Stores, Rehabilitation Pharmacies, Hospital Pharmacies, Cancer Centers, Home Health, Infusions Centers as well as research institutions, manufacturers and industrial settings.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics includes Pharmacy Technicians
in their fastest growing career category. Technicians have assumed many of the technical tasks that once were done
by pharmacists. A changing profession coupled with a shortage of pharmacists is continuing to offer new career opportunities for today's educated technicians.

Salaries are changing daily with a starting range of $10.00
to $12.00 per hour.

The North Dakota State College of Science Placement Services Office informs students about career opportunities that are available and what they involve as well as directing placement activities among employers, students, and college staff. A placement library is available to locate employer and business information. Services to alumni as well as students are available and annual Placement Reports are available upon request.
