Make sure that you reserve the weekend of September 26-27 to attend the
2008 version of the NDMATYC fall meeting in Carrington. We think that
we have one of the top speakers in community college mathematics education
to lead this meeting. Several of us heard Pat McKeague give the keynote
address at the AMATYC meeting in Minneapolis last fall and were extremely impressed. Some
of you have probably used one or more of his textbooks in your classes. He
most graciously accepted our invitation to come to North Dakota, but in order
to comply with his schedule, you will note that our meeting has been moved
up a week to Sept. 26-27. We are excited to have Pat at our meeting and
hope that many of you will be able to attend.
Have a good end of the semester and an even greater summer!

Dear Colleague,
Our annual NDMATYC conference is fast approaching! Enclosed is a brochure with
the information for this year's event. Please note that we are meeting
a week earlier than usual this vear to accommodate our speaker's
schedule. Our 13th Annual Conference will be September 26-
27,2008 at the Chieftain Motel in Carrington, ND. We are excited that we
are
able to bring community college instructor and textbook author Pat McKeague
to North Dakota
for this year's conference. Pat's love of mathematics and his commitment to
math education are evident whenever he speaks. The three topics he will be
addressing should have something of interest for all levels of instruction.
Please share this information with others on your campus
who might be interested in attending
this year's conference. Also, please try to adhere to the September 19 registration
deadline,
which greatly helps us when communicating with the Chieftain about last minute
details and
meals. We hope to see you there!
The brochure and registration information are also available on the NDMATYC
web page.
