by the North Central Association of Colleges and
Schools Commission on Institutions of Higher Education.
In addition, the Allied Dental Education Department

Mission
Statement of the Commission on Dental Accreditation
|
|
The
Commission on Dental Accreditation's mission is
to ensure the quality of dental and dental-related
education by conducting accreditation reviews to
determine the degree to which individual programs
meet the Commission's published accreditation standards
and their own stated goals and objectives. The Commission
recognizes only those programs meeting the accreditation
standards that are developed and agreed upon by
the various communities of interest including the
public. The Commission's second purpose is to enhance
and encourage improvement in the quality of its
accredited educational programs. |
|
The
Commission's accreditation program ensures that
quality education is available for dentists, dental
specialists and allied dental personnel. Quality
education ultimately leads to quality dental care
for the public. |
