Occupational Therapy Assistant Program

The NDSCS OTA program welcomes your interest in a career as an occupational therapy assistant. If you are a creative, compassionate person who has a desire to help people improve the quality of their lives by helping them increase their independence in their daily living activities despite their physical, mental, emotional or developmental disabilities, this career may be for you!

Applicants to this program must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Helpful high school courses to prepare for the program include: biology and/or anatomy, social sciences, psychology and communication skills, including speech, english and basic computer courses. It is also recommended that applicants visit an occupational therapy clinic and/or complete volunteer hours with clients that would be referred to occupational therapy. Applicants are also invited to visit the OTA program and tour the campus. The program has limited capacity and early application is recommended. A waiting list will be established once capacity is reached.
