Online Academic Program Options (majors)

NDSCS is continually developing new courses for online delivery to provide students with a wider range of career opportunities. 2008-09 tuition and fees for online classes are $176 per credit for the college year and does not include books, software and supplies. Additional financial information is available on the NDSCS Online Financial Info site.

In addition to various general education courses, program options offered online (either all or in part) are:

    • This is a hybrid program which offers most classes online but some lab classes are taught on-campus in a traditional classroom format.
    • Computer and Software Requirements (for Civil Engineering and Surveying Technology)

North Dakota University System Online Programs (NDUSO)
The NDUSO is a collaboration of the North Dakota University System (NDUS) campuses. Students may take courses from multiple campuses during the same semester, receive financial aid (if approved) for these courses, receive a single billing and generate a single academic record from their home campus. Programs available under the NDUSO are:

  • Associate of Arts Degree - This program is a collaborative offering of six NDUS campuses.
  • Paraeducator (Certificate, A.A.S. Degree) - This is a collaborative offering of the five two-year NDUS campuses

Hardware/Software Requirements for Online Classes: Microsoft Word software is needed to submit assignments for online courses. Some courses also require additional software which is indicated in the course list. Software may be purchased from the NDSCS Bookstore (some packages are available in an educational version at a reduced rate). Students enrolled in an online course/program must meet hardware and/or software requirements as indicated.

Off-Site Distance Delivery -- NDSCS provides credit classes and programs at the Skills and Technology Training Center (STTC) in Fargo, North Dakota. Class schedules are posted on the NDSCS Distance Education Web site.

Application for Admission Information - Students may complete an electronic or paper application for admission form. Additional admission documents are needed and are explained at the NDSCS Admission web site.
