High School Dual Credit Information

 

   

Off-campus NDSCS students and instructors may sign up for an NDSCS email account. Activating the account could take up to 24 hours.

NOTE: Effective Fall 2008, all students will need an active NDSCS email account. NDSCS will no longer mail billing statements but will email a notice to students at their NDSCS email address stating when their statements are available for viewing and will include the link to view the statements. The Business Affairs Office will also use NDSCS email to notify students of the dates when their payments are due and to communicate back and forth with individual students regarding questions and concerns that might arise.

Online students also need to activate their NDSCS email account but may link their NDSCS email to an external email address such as the one they may be using for online classes. This can be done within the college email system when you set up your account (at htp://enroll.nodk.edu). Online students should be sure to mark their "preferred" email address in Campus Connection so they receive the email with their online course login and password.

  1. Go to http://enroll.nodak.edu
  2. Click "Continue" at the first screen.
  3. At the login screen:
    • If you know your Electronic ID or Password, enter your Electronic ID (username) and Password (default password generated by NDSCS). Go to step 4.
    • If you do not know your Electronic ID, select "I do not know my Electronic ID or Password." (In most cases you will not know your Electronic ID or password when first setting up the account)
    • Enter your last name and Student ID number in the fields indicated. (Ignore the NAID number field)
    • Click "Continue."
    • At "Enter Your Password," enter the information below using this format XxxSSYYYY to create your initial password:

      Xxx = the first three letters of your birth month with the first letter capitalized
      SS = the middle two digits of your Social Security number
      YYYY = your birth year
      Example: If your birthday is 11/3/83 and your Social Security Number is 111-22-3333, your password would be Nov221983

  4. Click "Continue."
  5. Read the Acceptable Use Policy and take the “Quiz”
  6. After completing the quiz, you will be asked to change your password and will have the opportunity to request a campus email address.
  7. Your campus email address will become active within 24 hours. You can access your campus email at https://webmail.ndscs.nodak.edu or through the college home page at http://www.ndscs.edu by clicking the Web Mail item in the lower right corner of the home page.

*If you want to forward NDSCS email to an alternate email address:

  1. Go to http://enroll.nodak.edu and click "Continue"
  2. On the right side under "Manage Services," click "Email Delivery"
  3. Click "Specify a different maildrop"
  4. Enter the email address you would like your NDSCS email forwarded to and click "Change your Maildrop"
  5. After a few hours, send an email to your NDSCS email address to be sure it is being forwarded to your alternate email address correctly.

As long as you keep your e-mail delivery point up to date in the college email system, instructors and campus administrators can send official communications to your Electronic ID@ndscs.edu and know that it will get to you and no one else.
