NDSCS classes offered at the Skills and Technology Training Center (STTC)

North Dakota State College of Science teaches college classes for credit at the Skills and Technology Training Center (STTC) in Fargo, North Dakota. Tuition and fees for the 2009-10 college year are $176 per credit through summer 2010. Some courses have additional course and/or program fees.

NDSCS offers the following emphasis areas at the STTC (some classes needed for these programs will be taught online):

Some courses have additional course fees which are indicated on the course schedule. Books may be purchased from the NDSCS Bookstore (1-800-342-4325, ext 3-2239).

New students need to complete the Application for Admission and pay the one-time application fee of $35 to receive an ID number and password to register for classes. Additional admission information is on the college Admissions Web site.

Registration

Students will register for classes in the CampusConnection system on the NDSCS Web site. Instructions for this and other CampusConnection procedures are in the CampusConnection Quick Guide. (From the college home page at www.ndscs.edu, click "Student Info" and then "CampusConnection Quick Guide.")

Entry Level Requirements

NDSCS has implemented entry-level requirements for English and Math course placement. Students need 18 or higher on their ACT English and reading scores to take English classes. Students need 20 or higher on their ACT math score to take Math classes. Students with scores below these will need additional prep classes before taking college level English or Math classes. Students with no ACT scores may take a COMPASS assessment to determine whether they can take college classes or need additional prep classes.
