| Students in this department will own, or lease, a personal laptop computer with a large enough capacity to accommodate applications such as AutoCAD Map, Land Development Desktop, Civil Design, CAD Overlay, 3D-Studio Viz as well as the Microsoft Suite of Programs. The department utilizes state of the art surveying equipment similar to that used in industry. In addition, vendors are invited in periodically to demonstrate new equipment expected to be in use in the near future. The materials testing laboratory is equipped with sufficient apparatus and supplies to accommodate eight crews working at the same time in performing quality control tests on concrete, asphalt, soils and water. |
