The CampusConnection portal provides secure and convenient access to your personal and campus information. With your User ID and password, you can return anytime to register for classes, check your grades, review your bill and update personal information.

SIGNING ON TO CAMPUS CONNECTION
  1. Click on CampusConnection link on www.ndscs.edu
  2. Enter UserID and Password
    • The User ID will be your Electronic ID (Ex. Firstname.Lastname). The Password will have a combination of letters and numbers. It is case sensitive.
  3. Click Sign In
FORGOT MY PASSWORD
  1. Go to http://helpdesk.ndus.edu/ndusaccount
  2. Click I Forgot My NDUS Account Password
  3. Enter your User ID (Firstname.Lastname) click Next
  4. Answer 3 prompted security questions
  5. Click Login
  6. Enter new password
  7. Confirm password
  8. Click Change Password
    • The password must contain at least 8 characters from three of the following four categories:
      • English uppercase characters (A through Z)
      • English lowercase characters (a through z)
      • Base 10 digits (0 through 9)
      • Non-alphanumeric characters
      • ~ ! @ # $ % ^ ( ) _ + - = { } | [ ] \ : “ ; ? , . /
    • No spaces are allowed.
    • Passwords cannot contain 3 or more consecutive characters of any part of your name.
CHANGE MY AUTHENTICATION QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
  1. Log in at https://ndusiam.ndus.edu/sspr/private/login
  2. User ID = firstname.lastname format
  3. Click Change My Authentication Questions and Answers
  4. Provide answers to at least 3 of the Authentication Questions
  5. Click Save
UPDATING YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION
  1. Log on to CampusConnection
  2. On the Student Homepage, click on the Profile tile.
  3. Click the (+) to view/update your:
    • Names (Preferred and Legal)
    • Addresses (Home, Mail, Permanent or Parent)
    • Phone Numbers
    • Email Addresses
    • Emergency Contacts

Students are responsible for keeping NDSCS current with address and contact information. (The Home address listed in the Campus Connection will be used for almost all mailed correspondence.)

VIEW HOLDS

Not all holds prevent registering for classes; some service indicators are for information only. Check with the appropriate office for additional information.

  1. Log on to CampusConnection
  2. On the Student Homepage, click on the Tasks tile.
  3. Follow instructions to resolve hold(s) prior to registration.

There are many more hold possibilities, including, but not limited to the following:

  • Residential Life
  • Transcripts (ES and FA)
  • Police
  • Library
  • Academic Probation
  • Financial 
CHECK TO DO LISTS
  1. Log on to CampusConnection 
  2. On the Student Homepage, items listed in the Tasks tile are required to complete your file with appropriate office.
  3. Click details or any to do item to view more specific information.
VIEW MY ADVISOR
  1. Log in to CampusConnection
  2. On the Student Homepage, click on the Academic Progress Tile.  Your advisor’s name and contact details will be listed under Advisors and Advising Notes.

To send your advisor an email:

  1. Click details.
  2. Click the advisor’s name

To locate your advisor’s office, go to the campus directory.

VIEW ENROLLMENT APPOINTMENT

Once enrolled, students will have a specific date and time that they will be able to start registering for the next semester. Appointments will be available about one week before registration begins.

  1. Log on to CampusConnection
  2. On the Student Homepage, click on the Manage Classes Tile.
  3. Click on Enrollment Dates to determine what time your appointment begins.
OBTAINING AN ENROLLMENT VERIFICATION
  1. Log in to CampusConnection
  2. On the Student Homepage, click on the Academic Records tile
    • then: Enrollment Verification
    • then: Choose North Dakota State College of Science
    • then: Self Service Enrollment Verification
    • then: Obtain an Enrollment Verification
  3. Print the certificate and provide to lender, insurance agent, etc.

Note: Enrollment Verification cannot be conducted until after the first week of class has been held.

TRANSFER CREDIT REPORT
  1. Log in to CampusConnection
  2. On the Student Homepage, click on the Academic Records tile
  3. Click View my transfer credit report
    • Institution = NDSCS
    • Source Institution = Institution credits are being transferred from
    • Incoming Course = Course as printed on transfer institution transcript
    • Equivalent Course = Lists the equivalent NDSCS course

The resulting report will show all of the courses that were transferred to NDSCS, organized by the transferring institution and the term taken.

The grades and units (credits) earned from the transferring institution, the NDSCS equivalent course, and grade awarded for each course will show on this report. The grade awarded will equal the grade earned from the transferring institution, unless there is an adjustment for grades earned on an alternative grading scale to the scale used at NDSCS. NDSCS uses only institutional grades to compute grade point average.  However, any courses taken through Collaborative or Tri-College registration are used in the computation.  S/U grades do not carry weight in the grade point average and are not used to determine President’s Honor Roll.

VIEWING THE ADVISEMENT REPORT
  1. Log in to CampusConnection

  2. On the Student Homepage, click on the Academic Progress tile
  3. Click My Academic Requirement
    • Different sections of the My Academic Requirements report can be collapsed and expanded by using either the Collapse All or Expand All buttons at the top of the report, or by clicking on the triangle icons to the left of each information segment.
    • Courses will be marked with corresponding Taken, In Progress and Planned icons throughout the report.
  4. Print Advisement Report if desired.
WHAT IF REPORT
  1. On the Student Homepage, click on the Academic Progress tile
  2. Click View What-if Report
  3. Click Create New Report
  4. Fields will pre-populate
  5. Choose a different program(s) under Program Scenario and Academic Program
  6. Click Submit Request
  7. Print What If Report if desired
REGISTERING FOR CLASSES

Add classes by one of the following methods:

  • Click the button to learn how to use the new Schedule Planner registration tool.
    Schedule Planner
  • To use the delivered registration process in CampusConnection use the following steps:
    1. Log on to CampusConnection
    2. On the Student Homepage, click on the Manage Classes tile.
    3. Sign Financial Obligation Agreement found at the bottom of the menu on the left.
    4. Using the Class Search and Enroll, students will first select their term and institution.
    5. Search for class using the Class Number—click on the double arrow to the right.
    6. Once the class is selected, click arrow to the right.
    7. Step 1 of 4 (Review Class Selection), click next in the upper right corner.
    8. Bypass Step 2 of 4 by clicking on “Accept” in right corner. This screen will be used if your class has variable credits.
    9. Step 3 of 4 – Enroll or add to cart – choose “Add to Shopping Cart” – click next.
    10. Step 4 of 4 – Review and Submit – click on Submit.
    11. When asked if you are sure – choose YES.
    12. Repeat above steps for EACH class in which you are enrolling for the term by returning to the Class Search and Enroll option on the left side.
    13. Once you have added all your classes to your shopping cart, click on Shopping Cart in left column.
    14. Select all classes by clicking on the box next to the class – click on Validate to check for any conflicts.  If ok, click on Enroll.
    15. When asked if you are sure, click YES.
    16. Once enrolled, go to “My Weekly Schedule” to print out a Calendar View schedule. Select "Printer Friendly" > right click > print. Then click on "View My Classes" in the left column and select "Printer Friendly" > right click > print. 
    17. Click on the three vertical dots in the upper right corner to sign out when completed.

Dropping Classes
Note: Dropping a class may have an impact on your Financial Aid. Before dropping a class, please contact Enrollment Services to see if the change in course credits will affect your financial aid award. Classes that are dropped after the 100% refund period are not eligible for a refund of tuition costs.

    1. On the Student Homepage, click on the Manage Classes Tile
    2. Click on the Drop Classes tab
    3. Select the checkbox for the class you wish to drop
    4. Click Drop Selected Classes
    5. Verify the course(s) you wish to drop and complete the process
    6. Watch for success or error messages (Note: Courses with errors are not removed from your schedule.)

Swapping Classes

    1. On the Student Homepage, click on the Manage Classes Tile.
    2. Click on Swap Classes.
    3. Select the correct term
    4. Select the class you wish to swap
    5. Enter the Class Number or search for the class you want to add
    6. Complete the process.
    7. View the results. The Status Field will display a check mark if it’s a successful swap, or an X if an error has occurred.
    8. Click My Class Schedule to confirm
SEARCH COURSE SCHEDULE FOR AVAILABLE CLASSES
  1. Log on to CampusConnection

  2. On the Student Homepage, click on Manage Classes tile
  3. In the left navigation menu, click Browse Course Catalog
  4. Select North Dakota State College of Science, choose term, course subject and course number (if known).
  5. Available sections will be denoted with an availability icon
    • Open = green circle
    • Closed = blue square
    • Wait List = orange triangle
  6. Click on Section for course details (course fees, prerequisites, course description general education, course restrictions, etc.)
VIEW/PRINT MY CLASS SCHEDULE
  1. Log on to CampusConnection
  2. On the Student Homepage, click on Manage Classes tile
  3. Click on View My Classes or My Weekly Schedule
    • If eligible for multiple terms/semesters, careers and institutions, multiple options will appear. Select the appropriate options if applicable.
  4. Select filter options for classes to be displayed (enrolled, dropped and waitlisted classes) then click the ‘filter’ button.
  5. Click on Printer Friendly Page.
  6. Select Print from browser menu bar.

Note: If you wish to display only those courses in which you are enrolled, make sure you have unchecked the Show Dropped Courses box. Print list view before printing weekly view to remove the menu bar on the left.

WITHDRAW TO ZERO CREDITS

Students who are enrolled for the current semester, and choose to no longer attend classes for the remainder of the semester, need to initiate that request through Student Success. Student Success will determine if the request qualifies as a “Class Drop” or a “Term Withdrawal”. The effective date is the date of notification to Student Success.

REFUNDS FOR TOTAL WITHDRAWALS

Refund eligibility is based on the date on which the drop/withdrawal is effective. See the NDSCS Drop/Withdrawal/Refund Deadlines for specific session dates.

VIEW MY GRADES
  1. Log on to CampusConnection
  2. On the Student Homepage, click on the Academic Records tile
  3. Click on View Grades
  4. Select term, continue
  5. Select Printer Friendly Page at the bottom.
  6. Print, if desired
VIEW/PRINT UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
  1. Log in to CampusConnection
  2. On the Student Homepage, click on the Academic Records tile
  3. Click View My Unofficial Transcript
  4. Academic Institution: select North Dakota State College of Science
  5. Report Type: select Unoff PDF Transfer Details or Unoff PDF Transfer Summary
  6. Click View Report (Note: You may need to have Pop-up Blockers enabled.)
  7. Print, if desired
ORDERING AN OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT

To order an official transcript on security paper:

  1. Log on to CampusConnection
  2. On the Student Homepage, click on the Academic Records tile
  3. Click on Official Transcript Request
  4. Select North Dakota State College of Science from the institution list
  5. Click Order Official Transcript to proceed to the Parchment web site
  6. Click Order Transcripts or View Transcript Order Status (for previous requests, if applicable)
  7. Follow the directions to submit your order
  8. You will need a current email address and a valid credit card to place your order online
  9. The standard rate for an official transcript is $10

NOTE: Users who cannot access CampusConnection may alternatively request official transcripts at Parchment.com
 

ACCEPT/DECLINE FA AWARDS
  1. Log on to CampusConnection
  2. Click on Financial Aid Tile
  3. Select aid year
  4. Click on Accept/Decline
  5. Click on the pencil above financial aid listed
  6. When prompted with funds authorization, click yes.
  7. Accept or decline your award(s) by changing drop down box. Please note some types of financial aid may already be accepted on your behalf.
  8. Click submit
  9. When prompted, click yes.  If prompted, click OK to confirm.
MASTER PROMISSORY NOTE

Sign in at www.studentloans.gov with FSAID and password

  1. Select complete Loan Agreement (MPN)
  2. Click “Start” next to MPN for Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loans
  3. Follow on screen instructions
  4. Once MPN is completed, select complete counseling in list of options
  5. Click “Start”  next to Entrance Loan Counseling
  6. Follow on screen instructions. Please note you are an undergraduate student when selecting student type.
VIEW STUDENT ACCOUNT INFORMATION

Students are responsible for verifying that their student account information on CampusConnection reflects the selections they’ve made (Class Schedule, On-Campus Living and/or Dining plans, Bookstore, etc.).

  1. Log on to CampusConnection
  2. On the Student Homepage, click on the Financial Account tile.
  3. Select the appropriate link, based on what you would like to view:
    • Click Account Balance for a quick view of your current balance.
    • Click Account Activity for a combined view of your charges, payments and refunds. Note: Click the Activity tab, then View All to be able to see all of your activity in the date range and/or Term selected.
    • Click Charges Due for balance details
    • Click Payment History for payment details (including financial aid or other financial assistance received).
    • Click Account Summary for a per-term summary of all costs, payments, and refunds. Students often give this summary to those who are assisting them financially, such as their parent or employer.
PAY ONLINE

Online payments can be made with a credit card, debit card, or checking account.

  1. Log on to CampusConnection
  2. On the Student Homepage, click on the Financial Account tile
  3. Click Pay Online Now > Choose NDSCS box
  4. On View & Pay Accounts, click on Pay North Dakota State College of Science
  5. Enter the Payment Amount and Payment Method, click continue
  6. Enter Payment information, click continue
  7. Enter personal information related to your payment method (here you can also save your payment method to use for future payments), click continue
  8. Verify current payment information is correct, click confirm
  9. Click the printer icon to generate a printer-friendly version for your records
VIEW/PRINT STATEMENTS (eBILLS)

Students' billing statements are processed at the beginning of each month. Enrolled students will NOT be mailed paper statements; instead a Billing Notification email will be sent to their NDSCS email notifying them their electronic billing statement (eBill) is available to view/print.

  1. Log in to CampusConnection
  2. On the Student Homepage, click on the Financial Account tile
  3. Click Pay Online Now > Choose NDSCS box
  4. On View & Pay Accounts, click on View Accounts Details
  5. Click on Statement Details or View PDF

In addition to an email, students may also elect to receive their Billing Notification via text message. Follow steps 1-3, then click User Preferences 

  • Under SMS Option: enter your Mobile Phone number and Mobile Carrier
  • Under Notification: When a Bill Arrives choose SMS
ENROLL IN DIRECT DEPOSIT
  1. Log in to CampusConnection
  2. On the Student Homepage, click on the Financial Account tile.
  3. Click Direct Deposit
  4. For your security, you will be prompted to authenticate with DUO; follow the prompts. Once done, you will be directed back to the Direct Deposit enrollment page.
  5. Click on the option that includes NDSCS (below BSC and UND).
  6. Enter your bank account details, agree to the terms and conditions by moving the slider to Yes, then click Submit.
  7. On the Direct Deposit Details screen, click the arrow to the right to verify that the information you have entered is correct.
VIEW OR PRINT YOUR 1098-T TAX DOCUMENT
  1. Log on to CampusConnection
  2. On the Student Homepage, click on the Financial Account tile.
  3. Click View 1098-T
  4. Under 1098-T Report Selection, click General
  5. Click on the Tax Year you would like to view. A new browser will open with a PDF of your 1098-T; this can be printed for your records.
  6. To view individual payments/aid included in the 1098-T totals:

  7. Log on to CampusConnection
  8. On the Student Homepage, click on the Financial Account tile. 
  9. Click View 1098-T
  10. Under 1098-T Report Selection, click Box Amount
  11. Click on any field that lists an amount in order to view the details of payments made and/or aid received.
COMPLETE A FINANCIAL OBLIGATION AGREEMENT (FOA)

Follow the directions below to complete your FOA today. 

  1. Log on to CampusConnection
  2. On the Student Homepage, click on the Financial Account tile.
  3. Click on Sign Fin Obligation Agreement.
  4. Select the applicable institution and upcoming term you'll be registering for.
  5. Click Submit.
  6. Review the Financial Obligation Agreement.
  7. Click Accept or Decline

Note: Accepting the FOA completes the process for the term you selected. Declining the FOA restricts a student from registering for the term selected.
