NDSCS Football continues to struggle on the road Posted on 10/30/2012
The Wildcat Football team traveled to Fort Dodge, Iowa to play Iowa Central Community College (ICCC), which resulted in a critical 25-35 loss giving them their first conference win. This was the Cats final regular season game which puts their overall record to 3-5 and 0-4 in the conference.
NDCSC wasn’t too far behind by the end of the first half, with a score of 6-14.
The offensive leaders for the Wildcats were quarterback Josh Hansana, going 22-38 with a total of 332 passing yards and Lamont Osborn who received a total of 119 yards with one touchdown. Other Cats that helped on the receiving end were Claude Garrett with 73 yards, Johntae Outten with 61 yards and Shamir Akhdar with 60 yards.
Defensively, Kelvin Wilkins led with 17 total tackles, three unassisted. Brady Kortes also contributed with 15 tackles, 3 unassisted as did Trevon Money with 14 tackles and a recovered fumble.
NDSCS is now 3-5 and will go into the Playoffs as the No. 4 seed to play the No. 1 Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa on Saturday at 1 p.m. Listen to the game onAM 1450 KBMW, or go to www.ndscs.edu/athletics/live. Share
