Wildcats continue seven game win streak Posted on 10/5/2012
The NDSCS Volleyball team has been on a roll of wins coming off the NDSCS Tournament and continuing through Tuesday and Wednesday against Dawson Community College (DCC) and Lake Region State College (LRSC).
Against DCC the Cats took the win in three fairly quick games (25-14, 25-16 and 25-20). Leaders for NDSCS on the defensive end were Shellina Irwin and Moriah Skroch with 12 digs each. Offensively, Katie Wangberg was both the assist leader with 18 and kill leader with 10. Baylee Wilson and Kaylee Pender both added nine kills.
The following evening, was a similar story against LRSC. The Cats won in three straight games (25-11, 25-17 and 25-16). Defensively, Irwin again led with 15 digs. On the offensive side was Danielle Brewer with 19 assists and Skroch with 10 kills.
The Wildcats are on a seven game win streak putting their win-loss record at 20-5 for the year. The next match for the Cats will be an away game against Minnesota State Community and Technical College- Fergus Falls. The match on Monday will start at 6:30 p.m.
