Disciplinary Sanctions
Individual students who are found in violation of NDSCS policy may be subject to one or more of the sanctions below, dependent upon the severity of the offense and the existence or absence of prior violations. The student shall appear before the dean of student services or a designated representative for a preliminary hearing and possible disciplinary action which may include:
a. Consultation only;
b. Referral to special classes or counseling sessions;
c. Verbal and/or written warning that continuation or repetition of prohibited conduct may be the cause for more severe disciplinary action;
d. Probation. An indication that further violations may result in suspension. Cannot serve in elected positions in campus clubs and/or organizations;
e. Eviction from college-owned housing;
f. Suspension. Temporary withdrawal or privileges of enrollment from NDSCS for a specified period of time;
g. Indefinite suspension. Withdrawal from NDSCS until specific actions are taken prior to consideration for re-entry; or
h. Expulsion. Termination of student registration and status for an indefinite period of time. Permission of the president shall be required for readmission.
