Ted resides in Ottertail, Minn., with his wife Alma. They both are very involved with Carr Enterprises and enjoy working together. Ted holds great respect for his hometown of Wahpeton and NDSCS, where he met his love of business and helping others. “NDSCS was by far, the most enjoyable time – both as student and faculty,” Carr said. |

| Grace Lehman | ![]() |
Grace was employed at NDSCS for 31 years as the custodian for Babcock Hall, a men’s dormitory, from 1958 to 1990. Grace enjoyed being a “mom” to many students over the years at NDSCS and still keeps in touch with many of her “boys.” Her fondest memories at NDSCS include taking care of students and creating life-long friendships. “I had nothing but fun, fun, fun!” |

| Fran Were | ![]() |
Fran began her relationship with then-NDSSS in 1949 when her husband, the late Ed Werre, took the position of head basketball coach. While Ed worked at the college, Fran taught history at several schools in Wahpeton. She was an active supporter of the college during her husband’s 31-year NDSCS career, attending many basketball games. She continues to stay connected with NDSCS today. Last year she was honored with the title of Catbacker of the Year for her many years of support. Some of her favorite memories include giving a response at the NDSCS commencement when her husband was awarded an honorary associate degree. |

| Harvey Medenwaldt | ![]() |
Harvey Medenwaldt has been a part of the NDSCS family for 19 years in the Physical Plant. Harvey primarily works in the Stern Cultural Center. “I have the pleasure of working daily with the instructors, staff and students.” Harvey enjoys meeting new people and taking in the arts events at the Cultural Center. Harvey resides in rural Breckenridge, Minn., with his wife Bev. They have two children and three grandchildren. Harvey enjoys trap shooting, attending auction sales, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren. |
| Shirley Fox-Trydahl | ![]() |
Shirley Fox-Trydahl’s NDSCS career spans 30 years. She started at the college in 1977 working in the business office. In 1980, she moved to the Allied Dental Department where she worked for nearly 20 years. For the past 10 years, she has worked in the Student Center. She is currently president of the Service and Support Staff Senate and co-chair of the orientation team. She is also a member of the Diversity Council, Wellness Committee, AQIP Strategy Team and Student Recognition Team. Shirley resides in Breckenridge, Minn., with her husband Dennis. They have six children and four grandchildren. Shirley enjoys several hobbies including cooking, reading, golfing and attending concerts and the theater. Another hobby brings her back to the NDSCS campus where she enjoys attending NDSCS athletic events. |

American Federal Bank, founded in 1889 in the Red River Valley, is committed to agriculture and business including NDSCS and its students, faculty, staff and alumni. In Wahpeton, six American Federal Bank employees are involved in NDSCS community and volunteer activities including the NDSCS stadium renovation project, the annual homecoming tailgate party, the DREAM$ Auction, the Catbackers Club and the Alumni/Foundation. Banking manager Linda Kocher and ag/business banker Mike Matz are life-long residents of Wahpeton with more than 59 years of combined experience. | |

Gate City Bank’s mission is to provide a welcoming atmosphere and a commitment to making the lives of customers and employees better by investing in them and their communities “for a better way of life.” Gate City Bank lives this mission to the fullest. In 2007, they presented a total of $49,200 in college scholarships to North Dakota and western Minnesota students. Michael Lee, branch manager, is actively involved with NDSCS as a Catbacker Club member, DREAM$ Auction volunteer, stadium renovation project donor, member of the Wildcat Wellness Center and Wildcat Open sponsor and participant. |

Bancorp, is the sixth largest commercial bank in the United States. Matthew Holmquist has served as branch manager of the Wahpeton branch since 2005 and is actively involved with NDSCS activities including the DREAM$ Auction and Catbacker Club. Matt is inspired by the hard work and preparation involved in the DREAM$ Auction and says it’s a privilege being a part of the “best and largest event in the community.” |
