| Drop or add a course or change to a new program: | |
| Students desiring to drop or to add classes or to change curriculums must obtain the approval of the division dean, advisor and the instructor of the class. Appropriate forms are available in Old Main, Room 101 or 115. | |
| Withdrawing from College: | |
| A student who desires to withdraw from college before the end of a semester must go to their respective dean's office to originate a request and obtain a withdrawal slip from their division academic counselor. | |

| North Dakota State College of Science is on a semester system. A semester is 16 weeks. North Dakota State College of Science begins classes in the fall, spring and summer. The grading system for coursework is outlined in the college catalog or on the web site. For more information on grades, please click on the link above. | |

| Grades are available after the completion of semester. Generally, grades will be completely entered within the first four business days after the semester has ended. To access grades students can pick up a transcript or access grades through the CampusConnection portal (see link above). Parent(s) are not able to receive a student’s grade unless a release has been signed (see FERPA in the Student Rights and Responsibilities section). | |

| Returning students can register for classes by accessing the CampusConnection and entering in a User ID and password (click on web site link mentioned above). Students, who have not enrolled in classes at NDSCS will be able to register for classes during a scheduled registration day. If you are not sure when the next scheduled registration day is, please contact Enrollment Services, 1- 800-342-4325 ext. 3-2202. | |

| Students enrolled at NDSCS come for an education and want to derive full benefit from the program pursued. As a result, regular attendance and promptness in reporting to classes, laboratories and shops is expected of each student. Class attendance is important, and in many cases, employers consider it a vital part of a student record. | |

| A grievance exists when an enrolled student is dissatisfied with an aspect of his or her college experience over which he or she has no control and on which remedial action is desired. | For a student to receive his or her degree or diploma, the student must apply for graduation. A student can do that by stopping in Enrollment Services, Haverty Hall 105/106 and filling out a graduation petition. The library also has handouts and guides to help students in their work. Library staff also answers questions via e-mail, so use the link on the site to connect to the librarian. |

Staff takes suggestions for new materials to be ordered and does its best to get them to students in a timely manner. |

| Fall and spring semester balances should be paid in full at the Business Affairs Office in Haverty Hall. Fall and spring fee payment is 15 days after school starts. Summer semester fee payments are due one week after summer session beings. | |
| Students will not be able to register for spring semester until their fall bills are paid. All students should have signed a "Release of Information" form. If a parent calls to pay a student’s bill. The Business Affairs Office will not be able to tell parents any details regarding student’s account without a signed release form. | |
