Health Information Technician (Certificate, A.A.S. degree)
Health information technicians analyze and manage health data required in the delivery of patient care to ensure compliance with regulations, to evaluate data quality, and to evaluate documentation compliance. Health information technicians apply coding classification systems to health data. As the industry continues to move to electronic health records (EHRs), job functions will broaden to include information technology.
