Horton History
On January 1, 1928, trades departments moved into Horton Hall (then known as the new Trades Building). It housed the printing department, machine shop, automobile repair department, electrical department, and the drafting room. It was constructed at a cost of $65,000 with 10,000 square feet on each floor.

Horton Today
1,800 students pass through the doors of Horton Hall on an annual average basis, and approximately 100 courses are scheduled in the building.

Green Technology
Designed to be a sustainability teaching tool in itself, Horton Hall has been registered with, and designed to closely follow, the USGBC LEEDŽ 2009 Certification Guidelines for New Construction and Major Renovations. Click here to view the Horton Hall Sustainable Walking Tour information.
